Happy 9th Anniversary MyDrew

Juliann and Andrew
The beginning of our uniquely brilliant love story
Goes clear back to grade school and way before we
Knew who we were or where we wanted to go
So much lay in store with so little to show.

I would day dream and upon napkins rehearse
Writing his last name attached to my first
"Juliann Ashcraft" was then just a vision
Who would have known it would come to fruition

Shortly after High School he dialed my number
Within that first moment we fell for each other
He asked me to walk and meet him halfway
The gap between us grew smaller each day

Andrew and Juliann

MyDrew, My Choice, The Man of My Dreams
Won me with his lively approach to things
In a very short time he got down on one knee
After asking my Dad if he could marry me.

Juliann and Andrew
On the evening of February 8th, 2006
He popped the question that in my memory sticks
Five months of planning brought us to that day
On July 22nd, my sweetheart swept me away.

Enduring the summer heat in his tux was hard
Our family and friends gathered in the backyard.
While his Mom showed up wearing two left shoes
My family gawked over his many tattoos

My melting heart accompanied my dad down the aisle
Nearing my soon-to-be husband and his beautiful smile.
In that moment we uttered the two words, "I DO"
Followed shortly thereafter by the flowers I threw

Whoever invented the wedding cake feeding
Should be hunted down and given a beating
Knowing Andrew I anticipated the way it may go
Yet I never imagined I'd give all a peep show

Andrew and Juliann
Embarrassed as I was to reenter the group
I came back in time to be thrown for a loop
My brother, the DJ, thought he'd give us a whirl
Changing our first dance to "Fat Bottomed Girl"

After the dancing we found our car decorated
Our pleading against it didn't have them persuaded
We escaped from the crowd still dressed to the nines
The rest of that story is just Andrew and mine's.

Eleven months later we welcomed our first
Daddy so elated I thought he would burst
The second wrapped him around her little finger
After the third "I'm pregnant" silence did linger.

In 2012 God blessed us with number four
A bundle of blessings upon us once more
He was the best present on Daddy's 28th birthday
Just one party together for Daddy couldn't stay

In the past anniversaries were full of surprises
While I was predictable, somehow he mesmerizes
"Look out your window" he called from the street
With signs being held by the entire hotshot fleet

Those memories I will always cherish to my core
We can't celebrate anniversaries together anymore
Rather than a fancy dinner with a rose,
This year I worked on his car so it goes.

Juliann
I'm sure he was laughing while witnessing my face
Grease on my hands and my hair out of place
However as I turn down my bed for the night
I celebrate all in life that is still right

MyDrew, My Choice, The Love of my Life
Gave me the great honor of being his wife
I now see his sweet smile in a different place
Our four kiddos have Daddy all over their face

Shiloh, Juliann, Choice, Tate, and Ryder
I love you sweetheart just as much after nine
As when you whispered "I love you" the first time
Keep watch over me until tomorrow I wake
And remember I still owe you a face full of cake.
